Massages We Offer

Neuromuscular Massage

Neuromuscular Massage is a soft tissue manual therapy using focused pressure and friction to ease muscle/tissue strain for particular overworked/stressed areas. This focused massage can reduce pain, increase flexibility and ease of movement, improve your posture, enhance balancing of the musculoskeletal and nervous system, and improve circulation.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascial Release Massage places sustained pressure over muscle adhesions (trigger points) and focus area to release underlying connective tissue issues. This massage technique at Spa Greystone helps to manage pain and increase mobility by stimulating the muscle stretch reflex, elongating fascia and allowing for innervation of the tissue around the area. Sessions are performed several times over weeks or months.

Customized Massage

Customize your massage with a specialized session integrating Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release as needed. During each session, focused work is applied around problem areas and areas of dysfunction. Customized Massages are ideal for clients with ongoing and chronic issues.

Swedish Massage

Also called relaxation massage, Swedish Massage uses long, firm, gliding strokes and kneading of muscles for a relaxing and invigorating experience. Five basic strokes are used, all of which direct blood circulation toward the heart. Benefits of Swedish Massage include increased circulation, oxygenation of the blood and tissues, release of toxins from the muscles, flushing of metabolic wastes from the tissues, stretching of ligaments and tendons and the reduction of stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is used on individual muscles to increase circulation, reduce pain, and release pressure on nerves caused by injuries. The deeper layers of muscles are worked using slow, deep pressure strokes. Many people find Deep Tissue Massage to help with conditions from headaches and neck stiffness to tennis elbow and back pain. As a regular maintenance program, this massage helps athletes to perform their best while avoiding injuries.

Hot Stone Massage

During your Hot Stone Massage at Spa Greystone, smooth stones are heated, placed on the body and used to massage certain areas. The heat from the stones warms and relaxes the muscles, improves circulation and calms the nervous system. The combination of warm stones and the soothing touch of our professional massage therapists will take you to a new level of relaxation.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

The lymphatic system — consisting of nodes, vessels and organs — transports a clear fluid called lymph throughout the body and is an important part of the body's defense system. Using Lymphatic Drainage Massage, our Licensed Massage Therapists stimulate the lymphatic system with gentle massage to help eliminate toxins, clear blockages and boost the immune system.

Scalp Face & Neck Massage

Many people carry stress and tension in the muscles of the head and neck. A Scalp, Face and Neck Massage relieves tense muscles, stimulates circulation and encourages toxin removal with a series of soothing, rhythmic strokes. Massaging of the scalp is an important way to nourish the hair follicles. This calming massage will leave you with the ultimate feeling of peace and tranquility.

Headache/Migraine Relief Massage

Massage therapy is ideal for relieving the pain caused by stress headaches or migraines. Headache Relief Massage is proven to dissolve the pain caused by headaches and leave you with a blissful feeling of relief. Managing headache pain with massage therapy is a natural alternative to taking medicines that offer temporary relief and often leave you wondering what to do next.

TMJ Massage

The many functions of the jaw or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) include speaking, chewing, swallowing and making facial expressions. People who experience pain and tightness in the jaw and surrounding areas can benefit from TMJ Massage at Spa Greystone that relieves trigger points that can contribute to head, neck and back pain.

Aromatherapy Massage

During Aromatherapy Massage, highly concentrated plant oils called essential oils are added to the massage oil or lotion. Essential oils have different healing properties and can have a calming, energizing, decongesting or cleansing effect depending on the needs of the patient. Aromatherapy is helpful for those with stress- or emotionally-related conditions such as insomnia, stress headaches or digestive disorders.
